Depression may be described as feeling sad, blue, unhappy, miserable, or down in the dumps. Most of us feel this way at one time or another for short periods. True clinical depression is a mood disorder in which feelings of sadness, loss, anger, or frustration interfere with everyday life for a long period of time. - National Institute of Health Healthy families are important to us!
Emotional distress, lifestyle changes, and other life events often cause discord in the family unit. We believe that families are important. The Caring Corner offers marital, family, and individual counseling to those in need. Let us help! Healthy families means healty eating too!
We are dedicated to the total health of your family. If your child or family member suffers from an eating disorder, let us help. Oftentimes, children who are extremely under or over weight suffer from a combination of medical, emotional, and phsychological distress. We work with children in the system of care.
Our team of therapists and social workers have many years of experience working with the Indiana Department of Children's Services. From mediation, visitation arrangements, to adoption and foster care services - we work hard for the well being of children in the system of care.

The Care Van
The Caring Corner introduces: The Care Van - a door-to-door, non-emergency medical transportation service. We strive to provide unparalleled service to patients throughout Lake County Indiana. The Care Van’s experienced drivers work to provide safe, reliable, and courteous service to all of our passengers. Our vehicles are also wheelchair accessible.
The Owner and Director of the Caring Corner is Francette Williams. She is a LCSW, LMFT, IAAC, and an Approved Supervisor. Ms. Williams has over thirty years of experience in the field and specializes in adoption and anger management issues. Ms. Williams conducts bonding assessments, grief and loss workshops, couples therapy and a workshop series for nursing homes and maternal child clinics.
This is a very tough subject to talk about. But it is never told how it really effects family life. You always get told what to do or not to do. Never really getting down to the dirt of the subject. These points of view is told by me and no one else. My family has been dealing with family court for 10 years now.

J.U.M.P. started in July 2012 and was originally known as The Male Youth and Young Adult Mentorship Program. Because of a growing demand and need to provide services to females, the program has expanded to include both genders. There are three primary areas of focus: 1.) life skills training 2.) tutoring 3.) self-esteem.
